Before you book interpreting services

Before you place an order for interpreting services, we recommend taking a moment to go through the following points. This will help you clearly define your needs and ensure that your work with your interpreter goes smoothly.

Learn more about us
  • Put together materials related to the topic being interpreted. These should be provided to the interpreter a few days before the event to give them time to prepare.
  • Choose a suitable venue based on the type of event. If you’re not sure what’s best, we’ll be happy to help you find the right setting for your interpreting needs.
  • Estimate how long the interpreting will take. A half-day means 4 hours, a full day is 8 hours, and any extra time is charged separately based on our current rates.
  • It’s important to appoint a contact person, who’ll be responsible for keeping everything running smoothly on the day.
  • Decide whether you’d like us to provide the interpreting equipment, or if you’d prefer to take care of it yourself.
  • If the event is taking place outside Prague, you may need to arrange transport for the interpreters.
  • For events abroad, decide whether you’ll be providing transport, accommodation, and meals for the interpreters yourself, or if you’d prefer us to handle everything – including statutory travel expenses and per diems.
