Translators from English into German (legal translations for EU)
PRESTO Translation Agency is looking for professional freelance translators from English into German for a long-term project of legal translations for EU institutions.
WHAT IS REQUIRED
Each candidate must have attained the following minimal level of technical and professional capacity:
Profile 1 (preferred):
- A university degree or equivalent qualification in law (or a qualification giving access to employment as an advocate, barrister or solicitor).
Profile 2:
- A university degree or equivalent qualification in translation or languages.
Experience in legal translation can be demonstrated, for example, by letters of reference from previous employers or by means of sworn declaration/affidavit from the translator.
The translation experience in relevant language combination must be equivalent to at least 1,000 standard pages in the legal field. One year’s full time work as in-house translator in equivalent to 1,000 standard pages), translation experiences up to an overall maximum of 5,000 pages will be considered as asset. The translator must prove his/her translation experience with REFERENCE LETTERS.

Please note that SDL Trados Studio is obligatory for this project.
